Review of Innomar Strategies Inc. by Field NursePosted: Sunday, 28 July 2019 - Calgary
Unbelievable Enjoyed working with the patients and fellow nurses The job involves initiating IV's and infusing high risk biologics into patients who are immunocompromised with autoimmune diseases. Your orientation involves you learning to download and use their software with little to no IT support (and believe me you will need it), buying your own laptop (required), 99% of your education on the medications you will be infusing comes from reading drug monographs and drug company materials online with no hands on training from an educator. 1% of your education will involve an inservice from an educator which does not involve hands on training. This inservice is squeezed into your lunch break or given while you are caring for your patients (to save $). The company maintains that this is "better than education provided in a hospital." I disagree. The clinic had no sinks (risk for cross contamination between patients), no air conditioning & poor air circulation (sweat literally rolls down your back all day), and in the end no fridge, no microwave, and no drinking water (except from the bathroom sink). Management will ask you to buy bottled water for the clinic and BYW (bring your own water). Management tries to pile on the patients nurses see in one day without thinking of safety. The more patients a nurse infuses/injects with expensive biologics (thousands of dollars per treatment) the more money the company makes. You have to be your and your patients biggest advocate working for this company.
